1. Agreement
These terms govern use of JuriBooks, the cloud accounting service for legal practices at juribooks.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use JuriBooks on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to bind that firm.
2. Accounts and firms
- Each firm has its own workspace. The person who creates it is its owner and may invite colleagues and assign roles.
- You must give accurate details, keep your password secret, and tell your firm administrator promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- The firm is responsible for the people it invites and the roles it gives them.
3. The firm’s data
- The firm owns the data it puts into JuriBooks. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- The firm remains responsible for the accuracy of its records, for its professional, tax and regulatory obligations (including client-account and trust rules), and for reviewing reports before relying on them.
- JuriBooks is a tool. It does not provide legal, tax or accounting advice.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, including by attempting to access another firm’s data, interfering with its security or operation, uploading unlawful content, or using it to break any law.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep JuriBooks available and secure, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the service.
6. Fees
Any fees, plans and payment terms are those shown in the application or agreed with your firm in writing. Pilot or trial access may be offered free of charge and may end.
7. Suspension and ending
A firm may stop using JuriBooks at any time and may export its data before doing so. We may suspend access that breaches these terms or threatens the security of the service. After an account ends, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, JuriBooks is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from data entered incorrectly, decisions made on the basis of reports, or unauthorised access caused by a failure to keep credentials secure. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised with your firm’s JuriBooks administrator or through the Support option inside the application.
